Press Enterprise; Bloomsburg PA; 2002-5-5 NORA J WELSH, 70, of 2606 W. Front St., Berwick, died Friday, May 3, 2002, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been a patient for the past week. Born in Berwick, Dec. 28, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Ruth Fenstemaker Bower Kishbaugh. She was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1949. As a young woman, Mrs. Welsh worked in the meat department of the former Acme Market in Berwick. A homemaker much of her life, she also sold Beeline clothes and was secretary and co-owner of the former Welsh's Barage in Briar Creek. She was a member of Summerhill EUB United Methodist Church, Berwick, RR4. Mrs. Welsh was a former member of Briar Creek Borough Council and Emergency Management. She enjoyed her grandchildren. Mrs. Welsh was proceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Dale and Verncil Kishbaugh adn Ada Oliver. Surviving is her husband, Oscar Welsh Jr., with whom whe celebrated a 51st wedding anniversary in June 3. Also surviving are two sons: Jay Welsh, Berwick and Michael Welsh, Millersburg; three daughters: Mrs. Mark (Ruth Ann) Travel piece, Nescopeck; Mrs. David (Jan) Lawton, Mechanicsburg; and Mrs. Joseph (Beth) Robsock, Northumberland; eight grandchildren; a brother Doyle Kishbaugh, Berwick and three sisters: Elva Laubach, Mrs. Carl (Shirley) Gordner and Charoltte Cadman, all of Berwick. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m.Tuesday from the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home, 1024 Market St. Berwick, with the Rev. Donald W. Miller, retired Methodist pastor and friend, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut St. Berwick.
