The Olympian; Olympia WA; 2008-8-12 Shirley Ann Leek Shirley Ann Leek, 72, of Olympia, died August 5, 2008. She was born August 26, 1935 in Robinsdale, Minnesota to Laurence and Edith Hanley. She lived in Portland, Oregon and graduated from Washington High School in Portland. In Reno, Nevada, on March 19, 2000, she married Gare Wack, who survives. Shirley was a mother and homemaker. Shirley enjoyed traveling the beach, outdoors and wildlife and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Women of the Moose and Pleasant Forest Camping Club. Including Gare, Shirley is survived by three sons, Max Bailey, of Vancouver; Rick Shaffer. of Mollala, Oregon; and Billy Leek; of Gresham, Oregon; one daughter, Linnea Wilde, of Troutdale, Oregon; four brothers, Norman, Bob, Gib and Don Hanley, all of Portland, Orgeon; three sisters, Phyllis Harmel, of Portland, Oregon; Anita Reynolds, of Spanaway; and Donna Hanley, of Portland, Oregon; also fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by two daughters, Sherri and Cindy; sister, Joan; brothers, Jerry, Roger, Larry, and Dick; her parents; and half brothers, Virgil and Wayne.
