DeLand - Lauchland S. Lake, 78, of West Hubbard Avenue, a native of
Swetes Village, Antigua, died Saturday at Kindred Hospital-North Florida,
Green Cove Springs.

Mr. Lake, a retired laborer, was a member of St. Annis Primitive Baptist
Church.  He enjoyed dancing.

Survivors include three sons, Nesley Lake, Swetes Village, Sperian
Robinson, Lakeland, and Lauchland Jr., Los Angeles; three daughters,
Araminta and Saturia Lake, both of DeLand and Sundria Lake, Mount Vernon,
N.Y.; two brothers, Denzel Bailey, West Farm, St.Kitts, and Berys Gaines,
Swetes Village; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.  Mack is
in charge
