Long Eddy, NY

John F. Staesser of Long Eddy, NY, a retired truck driver for Sullivan County
DPW died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Roscoe Community Nursing and Rehab
Center. He was 79. The son of the late William Sr. and Emma Knoble Staesser,
he was born July 7, 1935 in the Town of Delaware. He was the widower of
Betty Smith Staesser.

John was a Life Member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited, and was a U.S. Army
Veteran.

John is survived by his longtime companion, Marie Young; two sisters,
Lillian Neer and Shirley Swendsen; several nieces and nephews and by Marie
Young's children, Ginger Young and her companion, John Appley, Roger Young
and his companion, Denise McBride. In addition to his parents and his wife,
John was pre deceased by a brother, William Staesser.

There will be no visitation.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Heavenly
Rest Cemetery, County Road 95, North Branch at 11 a.m.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home
Inc., Callicoon.
