END From "The Echo", Basket Historical Society of the Upper Delaware Valley, Long Eddy, New York, Vol VI, No 6, Winter 1987-88: BEGIN Dear Friends, Just a few lines to let you know how much I enjoy the Echo and to thank you for the great job you do in publishing it. The picture of the Red School House - 1890 in the fall issue was of great interest to me. Imagine my surprise when reading the names of the children attending I found my mother-in-law's (Carrie Wood) name. She was nine years old at the time. I knew she lived in the Basket across the brook from the schoolhouse at one time but didn't know she attended school there. She was a sister to Archie Wood, who had a garage at Long Eddy. As a young lady she clerked in Armstrong's store and later married James Kille and moved to Mileses, N.Y. I will be looking forward to the next Echo. Best regards to fellow Society members and friends. Katherine Kille END
