The Daily Journal - Thursday January 28, 2010 Vineland NJ JEANNETTE K. BISHOP, 88 Longtime elementary school teacher in Franklin Jeannette K. Bishop (Kille), 88, of Ocean Township passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bishop was born and raised in Newfield, where she was a lifelong resident prior to moving to Monmouth County to be near her daughters in 2004. She was the daughter of the late Beatrice (Beckett) and Charles Kille, and the wife of the late Mulford C. Bishop, who died in 1981. She was predeceased by her sister, Marian Kille Luisi. Jeannette attended Edgarton Memorial School and was a 1938 graduate of Vineland High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Glassboro Teachers School (now known as Rowan University) in 1942. After her education, Jeannette was employed as an elementary school teacher in Franklin Township for almost 30 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Newfield, Gloucester County Retired Teachers Association, Newfield Senior Citizens Club and the Wilson Lake Senior Club. Jeannette enjoyed antiques and music, and the time spent with her family. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, all of West Long Branch, Marilyn and Carlo Manna, and Susan and Michael McClain; four grandchildren, Ryan McClain, Stephanie (McClain) Diaz, and Christopher and Kelly Manna; three great-grandsons, Caden, Kiernan and Joseph; brother, Alden and wife Loretta Kille; and three nieces and a nephew. Relatives and friends will be received from 11 to noon Friday at First United Methodist Church, Columbia and Elmo streets, Newfield, where funeral services will be conducted at noon.
