Sister Mary Elise Stutzenberger passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Marycrest Convent in Blooming Grove. She was 100 years old. Daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Krieger Stutzenberger, she was born on December 22, 1920, in Union City, NJ.

Sister Mary was a Religious Missionary for 82 years at the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate in Blooming Grove. She attended Union Hill High School in Union City, NJ., and graduated from Catholic University of America in Washington DC. Survivors include her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm -8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Marycrest Chapel, 164 Quaker Hill Road, Blooming Grove. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Marycrest Chapel. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery in Blooming Grove.
