Catherine Lake Perry, wife of Calvin Wooster Perry, was a daughter of John Lake and Miss Voorheis.  She is named in an affidavit submitted by Daniel Fraser, dated 24 Apr 1844.  The affidavit was to restore John Lake's name to the UEL list. John had applied for land 3 Oct 1797 and received 200 acres as a UE Loyalist in Jessup’s Corp.  Later his name didn't appear on the UE Loyalist list so his children petitioned in 1843 to have it listed again.  Catherine Lake Perry was a granddaughter of John Lake and Margaret Snider. Elizabeth Lake Miller was a daughter of James Lake and Margaret Hagerman.  She is named in the Journals written by her nephew George Lake.  George returned to Canada twice during his life to visit his father’s family after they had left Canada/Illinois to follow the Mormon pioneers west.  Elizabeth Lake Miller was also a granddaughter of John Lake and Margaret Snider. Catherine Lake Perry and Elizabeth Lake Miller were 1st cousins and both were nieces of Christopher Lake. I have attached a document to this email that cites web addresses of both ladies’ family groups FYI. Annette END From: Kristal Fisher Subject: [LAKE] Louise/Louisa Eve Lake BEGIN Oct 2009 I am looking for info and ideally parents of Louise/a Eve Lake born in 1831 in possibly Cloyne, Ont.
