from genealogy.com BEGIN Jacob Lake B. 1776 NY, looking for more ancestors By Melanie Odeh February 26, 2012 at 10:12:23 Looking for any information about Jacob Lake, born 1776, New York. He married Hannah born 1778, NY. At one point, according to the 1830 Census, they lived in Murray, Orleans County, NY. They had the following children: John L. Lake, Brownell Lake, Napoleon Boneparte Lake, Lamont Lake, Mortimer Colin Lake. I'm not sure what happened to all the kids, but Napoleon and Mortimer came to Michigan. Both died in Michigan. I believe Mortimer came to Michigan later in life. It would be nice to know who Jacob's parents were and where he descended from, also Hannah's family as well. The 1830 Census Murray, Orleans County, NY, mentions other Lake names, these include the name Asa Lake, James Lake, John Lake, and John Lake. Could these people be Jacob's relatives? Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
