Rebecca Beemer OK - back to the will of Joseph Goulding - I thought I had a copy of the original will but was thinking of another Joseph once I got into the file. The one I have is just an abstract: Will of Joseph Goulding, (In Yorkshire, Kings Co., NY). Dated Feb. 16th, 1684. Executor: Wife, Ellinour Goulding. Leaves all estate to wife during widowhood. After wife's death to sonn Joseph Goulding. He to pay brotyhers and sisters, William, Nicholas and Ann Goulding L20 when they become of age; if any of the rest dye that there portion to be equallie divided amongst the rest of them. Guardians: William Goulding, Yawcum Goyliff and Jan Hansen. Witnesses: John Tilton, Samuel Spicer. Proved 1 April, 1864 (Recorded in Liber 1 of Conveyances, p. 9) With the will dated Feb. 16 and proved Apr. 1 - being 30 years old - he must have certainly have known he was not going to last long - wonder what he died of? Guess we will never know but maybe some type of illness or injury. END My NOTE - "Proved 1 April, 1864" should be "Proved 1 April, 1884". - MEL
