Notes for NEELTIE SMIT KLAUS: Her name is spelled several ways incl. Neeltie by M. Miller and she also has christ. date as Mar. 21, 1655. *** NOTE this woman appears to be the younger sister of Anna Catharyn, the mother of her husband. Both women are given the same parent names by M. Miller. This needs to be check out, but could be possible considering the age difference of the two women. Neeltie is also given the last name of Klaus, which could have been a previous mar. for her and she was a widow to mar. her nephew...??? R. Wilson states that she was also known as Ellinnor with one other source indicating that her surname was spelled Claes. Ref. cited: FTM, NJ GEn. #1, CD #182 p. 244 & 240 plus the Anct. File # above.
