The school house, in which my cousin was then teaching was a frame building
and stood beside the road leading from Frenchtown to Baptisttown on ground
probably once a part of then Moses Roberson's land.  ...  I remember in
1835, several broken benches were replaced with pine slabs brought from
Godfrey Case's saw mill.
