John Tysen, Treasurer of this Church, who died yesterday, Feb'y 6, 1827, Elder of this Church and accordingly member of the Consistory of the same. Whereupon it was unanimously Resolved, That the surviving members of the Consistory, as a suitable mark of respect for the usefulness, piety, faithfulness and zeal of said deceased Elder, we do wear crape on the left arm for the space thirty days of from the date hereof. He left a large family, of whom one is now living Charles Tysen, residing at Port Richmond. David Jaques, his eldest son, was born August 28, 1807, married Miss Elizabeth P. Lake December 29, 1831, and died March 27, 1885, leaving two sons, Daniel W. and David J., both residing at New Dorp. END
