Decatur County Journal Iowa August 27, 1914 BEGIN MRS. ANGELINE MATSLER was born at Newark, N.J., November 21, 1834, the daughter of CORNELIUS ROBBINS and ANNA HAUKINSON. She was the youngest of a family of ten children, three sons and seven daughters. Her death occurred at Leon, Ia., August 22, 1914. In 1840 she moved to Ohio, where she was married to JOHN MATSLER, 1851. With him she moved to Illinois in 1853 and to Kansas in 1873. There her husband's death occurred the same year. Two years later, in 1875, she came to Iowa where she continued to make her home until the time of her death. The deceased united with the Methodist Church in Illinois in 1864, and with the Leon Methodist Church, November 26, 1890. MRS. MATSLER is survived by a sister, MRS. JANE ELLIS, and by five sons and four daughters: D.W. MATSLER, of Chanute, Kan.; W.H. MATSLER, of Ironton, Mo.; C.F. MATSLER, of Princeton, Mo.; J.E. MATSLER, of Tolt, Wash.; S.A. MATSLER, of Los Angeles, Calif.; MRS. TERESA MILLER, of Marietta, Calif.; MRS. ROSALIE E. DUNKIN, of Ravenna, Neb.; and MRS. MINNIE B. FULLER, of Hazard, Neb. The funeral services were held at the Leon M.E. Church on Monday morning, August 24 at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Guy J. Fansher, the Pastor, assisted by the Rev. Jas. W. Johnson, Pastor of the Christian Church. Interment was in the Leon Cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community in their loss of mother and grandmother. END
