From "A Genealogical Record of the Descendants of Andrew Newbaker of Hardwick Township Warren County N. J." by Rev. A. J. Fretz in 1908: Charles was a farmer and lived on the old homestead of his father in Hardwick Township which was owned and occupied by Alonzo Hill in 1908. Charles also carried on the cooper business for many years at Newbaker's Corners manufacturing butter tubs, firkins, etc. He and his mother were the administrators of his father's estate.
