    Ruhama Diemma Hess the daughter of Abraham Hess and Ann (fisher) Hess,
    was born circa 1806 at Belfast Twp., Bedford Co., PA; married Obediah
    Mellott, carpenter. In 1850 they had eight children living at home. These
    children are as follows: Alpheus, (1834); Elizabeth, (1836); Emily F.,
    (1837); Hiram, (1839); Samuel, (1841); Denton O., (1845); Rebecca E.,
    (1847) and Mary M., (1850).

    Second source is McConnellsburg, Fulton Co., PA; Court Record - Orphan's
    Court Book 1, p. 7, with a follow up in the August Term 1851 Court minute
    Book 1, p. 1. After the death of Ann (Fisher) Hess, a Dennis Hess filed
    a Petition for Partition on the behalf of the heirs of Abraham Hess. In
    this document _*names all of the children*_ of Abraham and Ann (Fisher)
    Hess. In this document she is *Ruhama Diemma* and *NOT *Ruhanna Miriam
    "Amy" Hess

    Why the History of Tonoloway Baptist Church book was ever reprinted
    without making all the necessaries corrections is beyond me. I can
    only speak of the Hess families in the book as being mixed up. Had Mr.
    Holman, spent time researching court records in both Bedford and Fulton
    Counties on the Hess families,
