George is the son of Timothy (born about 1721, died before 1808 in Sarasota Co. NY) and Jane Birdsall (born 1741 Dutchess, NY) Brownell. Timothy is the son of George (1693-1742) and Elizabeth Davol (about 1691-about 1742) Brownell. George is the son of William (about 1653 Portsmouth, RI to about 1715 Dartsmouth, MA and Sarah Smiton (1654 Porstmouth, RI-1716 Dartsmouth, MA) Brownell. William is the son of Thomas (1608 England-1664 Portsmouth, RI) and Ann Bourne (1606 London, England-after 1665 Portsmouth, RI) Brownell. There are a lot of books about Thomas and Ann Brownell and their descendants. Clarissa's brother Silas Nicholas Brownell married Elizabeth Findley. Their child Silas E. Brownell married Helen Oliver. John was born on December 9, 1823 in Knowlton Township (note - Knowlton Township became part of Warren County in 1824, before that it was part of Sussex County, New Jersey) and died on December 23, 1902 in Leroy, Michigan. Sally (Sarah) was born on December 14, 1827 in Knowlton Townsip and died on October 3, 1862 in Oakland County, Michigan. John and Sally (Sarah) were married on December 26, 1852 in Knowlton Township by Rev. McCormick. Sally (Sarah) is the daughter of John K. Snyder (about 1796 - March 22, 1866) and Anna Emelia Cool (about 1801 - November 21, 1862). Both John and Anna are buried in Green Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. John K. Cool married second Clarissa L. Brownell (1835 - March 1, 1865 Oxford, Michigan) on May 12, 1864 in Oxford. John K. Cool married third Hannah C. Young (1838 - May 20, 1885 Oxford) on April 16, 1869 in Oakland County, Michigan. Hannah is the daughter of Rachel ------. John K. Cool married fourth Ernestine Sachs Morse (1850 - December 24, 1899 Leroy, Michigan). The following information was taken from a Scrap Book of Susan A. Cool (spouse of 9.257) in Byron, Michigan. This was written December 2, 1941. John K. Cool Was born in Knowlton, Warren County, New Jersey, Dec. 9, 1823. He came to Michigan in May 1856, and settled in Boomer. Later moved to Oxford, where he spent the greater part of his life. Dec 14, 1850, he was married to Sarah M. Snyder, who died Oct, 3,1862, leaving 3 children. Dec 29, 1899, he married Ernestine Morse of Leroy, Michigan, where he lived until the time of his death, which occured [sic] Dec 23, 1902. Age 79 years, 14 days. He leaves a wife and 4 children to mourn his loss. Mrs. C J Van Wagoner (Charlotte Melissa), Isaiah Cool of this place, Mrs Frank Weigle [sic] (Lillie May) of North Branch and John M. Cool of Leroy. He has been a great sufferer for over a year. Died praising the Lord. Body was brought to his place, Friday, where the funeral was held (Oxford) in the Baptist Church, Rev. Cutter officiating. END
