My 3gr grandmother was Emma Parthenia Lake, married to O.H.P.Williams.
She was b. 1832 to David and Nancy (Gray) Lake in Hamburg, NY.
David - b. 1797, NY to Henry and Jemima (Waldo) Lake.
Henry - b. 1767 NY to Thomas and Mychelle (Williamson) Lake.
Thomas - b. abt 1731 New Jersey apparently to Nicholas Lake.
Nicholas may be the son of another Nicholas Lake, the son of John Lake of
Long Island, NY.

NAME:Nelson Perry Lake.Lineage found in "Genealogy of the Waldo Family", 
     Waldo Lincoln.Descendants of Cornelius Waldo of Ipswich, MA from 
     1647-1900, LDS film 1697272, item 1-2.
BIRTH:11 Nov 1826, son of David Lake and Nancy Gray.
NOTE:Nelson Perry is probably the same individual as found in Reg of 
     enlistments in the U.S. Army 1847-1849, LDS film 350329, pg. 155.Lake,
     Nelson P., 20 blk, brown, fair, 5'4", NY, Attica, printer, Apr 12,16 
     Inf AG 30 Jun '48.

Nelson's father, David Lake was a farmer and lived in Plainfield, Otsego
Co., NY until 1830 when he removed to Boston, Erie Co., NY to practice
law.In 1835 he then removed to Hamburg, NY where he lived until 1882.He
then removed to Minnesota to live with a daughter until his death in 1884.
