transcription of Records->Wills->30.-2 The last will and testament of Dinah (Robins) Garrison: BEGIN Recorded Will of Dinah Garrison Deceased Filed July 21st 1857 Chas Thatcher Surrogate In the name of God Amen I Dinah Garrison of the township of Alexandria in the County of Hunterdon State of New Jersey Do hereby make this my last will and testament In matter and manner as follows VIS: First it is my will and I do order and direct all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid as soon after my decease as the same can conveniently be done - Second, I consider that I have helped my son John Garrison and my Daughter Susan wife of Abraham Lake, and my son Isaac Garrison each one respectively as much as a share in my estate, and it is therefore my will that neither they nor their heirs shall inherit anything more from my estate Third, It is my will that my daughter Elizabeth wife of John Kesler, the children of my daughter Rachel wife of Charles Parker and daughter Rebecca wife of George Sellers, have all the personal property that may be on hand at the time of my decease, share and share alike, - that is, my said daughters each a share and the children of my deceased daughter one share - to be divided as they may choose to divide the same - Fourth, It is my will that my son William Garrison have the sum of two hundred dollars, paid to him, by my daughter Sarah Ann, in a reasonable time after my decease Fifth, It is my will that my daughter Sarah Ann, wife of George Case is to have all my lands that descended to me from my father Isaac Robins, subject to the payment of my just debts, funeral expenses and Legacy aforementioned to my son William, To her and her heirs, that is it is, my will that she shall have hold and enjoy the same her lifetime and at her decease to be equally divided among all her children or their lawful heirs, share and share alike - it is nevertheless my will that if my said daughter Sarah Ann, should not see fit to pay the debts and Legacy aforesaid that then and in that case so much of my said lands be sold as will pay the same and the remainder to descend to my said daughter and her children in the manner already specified - Sixth, It is my will and I do order and direct that when when the lands shall be sold adjoining to the burying ground on my lands, that said burying ground be forever exempt from sale and free to all such as now have friends lying there to bury their dead so long as said burying ground is kept enclosed with a suitable enclosure, and likewise, free ingress and egress to and from the same - Seventh I hereby appoint my Son in Law George Sellers the Executor to this my last will and testament, to do all things therein required and in case my said daughter Sarah Ann should not see fit to move on said property immediately then, he is to rent the property and divide the income as my personal property is divided until she does come to live on the same - In witness whereof I the said Dinah Garrison have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of April in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty seven - Signed sealed and declared to be the last } her will and testament of the testator in our } Dinah Garrison presence, who at her request have witnessed } mark the same in her presence and in } the presence of each other - } John Blane Matthias Abel Hunterdon SS John Blain one of her executors to the foregoing will being duly sworn when his oath saith that he saw the testatrix herein named sign and seal the same & heard him publish pronounce the foregoing writing to be his true Last Will & Testament that at the doing thence of the said Testatrix was of sound & disposing - mind & memory ?
