"John Hasbrouck, Former Resident, Succumbs in Olean - Olean, NY - John E
Hasbrouck of 1020 Buffalo St, a former Bradford, Pa, resident, died yesterday
morning in St Francis Hospital here after a long illness. Mr Hasbrouck,
59, was born in Vernon, Pa, on July 26, 1893. He came to Olean 21 years
ago, and for the last 10 years had been employed by Clark Bros here. He
was a member of Olean Lodge 252, Masons, and was a veteran of World War
I. Survivors, besides his wife, Mrs Mary E Bentley Hasbrouck, are a son,
John E, Jr, of Clarks Summit, Pa; three daughters, Mrs Bernard Boats and Mrs
John Shortell, both of Olean, and Mrs Joseph Dempsey, Jr, of Bolivar, NY;
a sister, Mrs Frank Paskins of Delevan, Wis, and six grandchildren. Funeral
services will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday from the Hogan Funeral Home,
Olean. The Rev James Horton, pastor of the Olean First Baptist Church,
will officiate. Burial will be in St Bonaventure Cemetery."
