Warren "Bob" Quertermous, age 90, of Golconda passed away March 16, 2014
at Fountains Nursing Home in Marion, IL.

Bob was born August 28, 1923 in Burna, KY to Luttie and May (Wall)
Quertermous. On November 19, 1955 he married Fannie Sherrel Gilliam in New
Shawneetown; she preceded him in death on May 26, 2003.

Bob served his country in the U.S. ARMY and was a WWII Veteran. He was
a carpenter and lived in Pope and Johnson counties since 1946. He was a
member of the Church of Christ since 1956, and a life member of Disabled
American Veterans.

Bob is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark Quertermous, Cletus
Quertermous, two sisters, Marjorie Chittenden, Clorene Brush, and one
infant brother.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Aly Funeral
Home in Golconda, IL. Interment will follow the service at IOOF Cemetery in
Golconda, IL. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 9227, American
Legion Post 719, and the Illinois National Guard Military Funeral Honors
Team. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday
at the funeral home.  Aly Funeral Home
