She was the wife of Claude Costa and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William O. Waugh, of Warfordsburg, Pa. Besides her husband she is survived by the following: sisters, Mrs. Louise Weaver, Myrtle and Susan Waugh, of Hancock; brothers, james Albert Waugh, US Marines, Parris Island, SC; and Joseph and William Waugh, Hancock. She was a sister of the late Mrs. Bud Powers of Hancock who was fatally injuried in an automobile accident in 1937. Mrs. Waugh gradauted from Kings Daughters Hospital in Martinsburg and engaged in nursing until her marriage about 10 years ago. Services were held at the Jenkins Funeral Home, Hancock; interment in St. Paul's Cemetery along the Western Pike. Born Aug. 27, 1911, in Warfordsburg,Pa., she was the daughter of the late William O. and Ella Nora Booth Waugh. She was a homemaker. She was of the Protestant faith. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul O. Schetrompf, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open Monday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of friends.
