He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret (Lake) Nurmi, Bellmore, Long Island; two daughters, Mrs. Tybor [sic] (Marilyn) Zsaky, [sic] Richmond, Va., Miss Karen Nurmi, Bellmore, Long Island; a grandson, Scott David A. Zsaky, [sic] Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen West, Mrs. Elsie Thomas and Mrs. Aileen Maunula, all of Spencer; one nephew, Walter West, a member of the U.S. Armed Forces; one niece, Miss Lynn Maunula, Spencer. Nurmi of Binghamton Margaret L. Nurmi, of Binghamton, died Saturday morning, May 26, 2007, at Elizabeth Church Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Nurmi. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn and Jack Csaky, Richmond, Va., Karen Anderson, Chenango Bridge; her grandchildren, Scott and Christi Csaky, Christopher Csaky, Beth and Steve Cornwell, Jennifer Csaky; five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Noah, Matthew, Quinn, and Alexandra; her sister, Theresa Coffey, Binghamton; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton. Margaret was an avid gardener and reader who enjoyed traveling in the New England States and enjoyed crocheting. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Laurence J. Lord, her Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Margaret may be made to Samaritan House, 11 Fayette St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.
