WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Preston Clyde Crawford, 86, of Gienger Road, died Friday,
May 28, 2004, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born March 20, 1918, in Locust Grove, Pa., he was the son of the late Alfred
Vinson and Jessie Mary Miree Engle Crawford.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Irene Hess Crawford, in 1987.

He was a truck driver.

He was a member of Jerusalem Christian Church in Warfordsburg.

He is survived by one daughter, Alda Mae Louise Lashley of Warfordsburg;
one sister, B. Louise Diesing of Aliquippa, Pa.; two grandchildren, Leda
L.L. Fischer and Thomas L. Lashley; two great-grandchildren; and nieces
and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley L. Crawford, Bruce
A. Crawford and Dalton M. Crawford.

Services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Buck Valley Methodist Church,
Warfordsburg. Pastor Clint Bahrenburg will officiate. Burial will be in
Buck Valley Memorial Cemetery.  Advertisement

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral
Home, Hancock, and Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. The funeral home
will open Monday at 2 p.m.
