    Mary (Mellott-Bard) Garland

    Mrs. Mary Inez (Mollie) Garland, 89, Decker Nursing Home, McConnellsburg,
    died early Friday morning, March 29, 1974, in the nursing home following
    a lengthy illness.  Born August 3, 1884, in Needmore, she was a daughter
    of the late Michael W. and Sarah (Hess) Mellott. Her husband Howard
    Garland preceded her in death in September 1943.  She was a member of
    the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore.  Surviving are
    two brothers, Reed O. Mellott of Needmore and Russell D. Mellott of
    St. Thomas, and a number of nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were
    held Monday, April 1, at 2:00 pm. at the Pleasant Ridge Church of the
    Brethren, with the Rev. Homer Winters and the Rev. Bretherd Mellott
    officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
