Mrs. Rachel E. Crouse

Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth Crouse, 62 wife of Mack L. Crouse of Big Cove Tannery,
Fulton county, Pa., died on June 6th at her late home following an illness
of twenty two weeks.

The deceased was a daughter of the late John and Belle Berkstresser Gordon,
and was born in Ayr township, Fulton county, on July 18, 1894. She was a
member of the Laurel Ridge Christian church.

Survivors include her husband and these children: Merrill Crouse, Spring Run,
Pa.; Leonard Crouse of Needmone; Lena, wife of Lee Richards, of Needmore;
Virginia, wife of Ernest Harr of Big Cove Tannery; Ellen wife of Charles
Mellott, of Chambersburg; Cleo, wife of Donald Black, of Youngstown, Ohio;
Mildred and Jacob Crouses both at home. One sister also survives Mrs. Rush
Wagner of McConnellsburg.

Funeral services were conducted from the Gress funeral home in McConnellsburg,
on Saturday Morning, June 9th at 10 o"clock with Rev. T. P. Garland
officiating. Burial was in the family plot at Union cemetery south of
McConnellsburg.
