Hollinshead, widow of the late Reuben Hollenshead, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Fulton Co. Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late Absolum and Amanda Mellott, and was born March 2, 1885 at Needmore, Pa. Mrs. Hollenshead was a member of the Brethren church for 49 years. She is survived by the following children, Rankin of Needmore; Thelma, wife of Dora Seville, of City, and Maudlene, wife of Mulford Garland, of Amaranth; and one sister, Mrs. Irene Bailey of Zullinger. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 29, at the Free Brethren church, Webster Mills, in charge of Rev. B. E. Waltz and Rev. Vickers of Altoona. Interment was in Pleasant Ridge cemetery. He died at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mulford Garland. He was a kind father and a good citizen of which you could see by the large crowd assembled at the church. He was a hard working man, farmer by trade. He was born and lived all his life in Belfast township. He will be sadly missed by all his relatives and friends as he always had a smile and a kind word to all he met. He was laid to rest at the Brethren cemetery on Pleasant Ridge of which he was a member for several years. Surviving are his wife, Laura Mellott and the following children, Rankin Hollenshead on the home place near Needmore and Thelma, wife of Dorrie Seville of Cito and Maudlene, wife of Mulford Garland at whose home he died and these brothers, James of Sipes Mill, Rev. David Hollenshead of Needmore, Ross of Pittsburgh and Thomas Hollenshead of Needmore R. 2; his mother and father both deceased and two brothers... Services were held by his pastor, Rev. B.E.
