BEGIN

  For Fifty-five years the John Deere line of farming implements was sold
in the building which now houes [sic] Mr. Lake's hardware store.  In order
to give more attention to this branch of his business and his wood-working
mill, he has sold the John Deere agency to F. S. Andre & Son.  Mr. Lake has
an announcement in this issue relative to it, also the firm of Andre & Son.

LAKE - Homer G. Lake 81, Montrose, Pa., died this morning at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myra Nye Lake, Montrose; three daughters,
Mrs. Jean Riley, Troy, N.Y., Mrs. Alyce Fitzsimmons, Montrose and Mrs. Zelda
Kralick, Bronx; a son, Paul Lake, Miami, Fla.; a brother, Searle Lake,
South Montrose; six grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Monday at
2 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home, Montrose with the Rev. William Davies,
pastor of Montrose Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the
Montrose Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday evening
from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
