BEGIN

Dear Lydia, Gladys and All,  I am too heart sick to write.  Bert is so
very sick.  Took to the bed one week ago today.  I have locked the store and
am taking care of him as he wanted me to.  He had a bad night and is still
vomiting this morning.  Heart and liver condition.  I think he is failing
fast and he too talks of giving up.  He has fought so long so long.  Lily.
