END from http://newbaker.com BEGIN Obituary of Howard Mott Howard Kishpaugh Mott, 92 years of age, of Blairstown, NJ. passed away on January 7, 2017 peacefully at his home in Blairstown, NJ. Howard was born on June 19, 1924 in Columbia, NJ to Burton and Mabel (Hill) Kishpaugh. As an infant, he was predeceased by his mother and lovingly adopted by Milton and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Raub) Mott. He grew up in Vail, NJ before moving to Blairstown. Survivors include his 9 sons, Howard Mott (Jr), Russell Mott, Jeffery Mott, Craig Mott, Matthew Mott, James Mott, Seth Mott, Richard Mott, and Wickliffe Mott, 3 daughters, Judith Mott, Cheryl (Mott) Hall, and Misty Mott, 32 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and over 32 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Irene, ex-wife, Dorothy, 1 son, 2 grandchildren, Dawn and Brandi, his brother Fred Kishpaugh and his sister Geneva Kishpaugh Osmun. Howard grew up working as a dairy farmer, and working in his father's General Store in Vail, NJ. He graduated from Blairstown High School in '41 and subsequently attended Blair Academy graduating in '43. Howard later owned & ran the General Store. Howard was a Telephone Electrical Engineer for 28 years for West Jersey Telephone, later United Telephone, now Embarq. He was an active member of the Blairstown Township Committee and the Blairstown Planning Board and served two terms as Mayor of Blairstown and was the Blairstown Fire Commissioner. He also held memberships with the Independent Telephone Pioneer Association, American Grange Association, and the Future Farmers of America. Howard was a member of and former trustee of the Knowlton Presbyterian Church. He also attended the Walnut Valley Methodist Church. Having lived his whole life in the area, he received his private pilot license and enjoyed flying small aircraft from Blairstown airport. He also was a proud owner of two different small airplanes. Howard was considered by many to be a valued historian of Blairstown and Knowlton. In his later years, a few of Howard's hobbies included avidly reading books and was often seen in public carrying a book with him, horse watching, bird watching, talking with everyone he met and sharing stories of the area with them, and riding around the countryside and reminiscing. A private, family service was held Tuesday January 10, 2017 with interment at Knowlton Frame Cemetery in NJ. He was adopted by Elizabeth Raub Mott and Milton W. Mott.Maybe you can help me out with the mott family record. My father married Dorothy Henry in about1947. They had 10 Children-Howard,Russell,Judith,Cheryl,Jeffery,Craig,Matthew,James, Seth,and Richard. In 1969 he married Irene priestly and the had two children-Misty and Wycliffe. END
