Capuano, 83, of Hampton Township, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Barn Hill Care Center in Newton. Born in Budd Lake, Mrs. Capuano lived in Hampton Township for the past 40 years. She and her husband were the co-owners of Michael's Photo in Newton for 37 years, where she was an expert negative re-toucher. She then worked part-time at Hendershot Drugstore in Newton for six years. A talented handcrafter, Mrs. Capuano enjoyed knitting, embroidery and sewing. The daughter of the late Alvah and Margaret Miller Lake, Mrs. Capuano was also predeceased by a son, Albert, on June 8, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Michael L. Capuano, having celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on Feb. 3. She is also survived by two sons, Michael D. Capuano and Kevin L. Capuano, both of Hampton Township; and two sisters, Georgia Boulanger and Garnet Lake, both of Newton. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
