His wife is the former Helen Burke McHale. The couple celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary Sept. 10. She was the wife of Daniel McHale, who died Oct. 27, 2000. They were married more than 51 years. Born Sept. 24, 1924, in Auburn daughter of the late Thomas and Frances Burke [sic] Burke, she moved from Auburn at an early age and lived most of her life in Clarks Summit. She was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School and Lackawanna Business College. After graduating from business school, she worked as a secretary for Krietner Lumber Co., Clarks Summit. She was a member of Our Lady of Snows Church, Clarks Summit, and its Women's Guild, and was formerly active in its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also active in organizations and activities during her children's youth. She was a fun-loving person who had great faith and was always willing to share a laugh and smile with others. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her. Surviving are a son, James McHale, Factoryville; a daughter, Theresa Norsen, Binghamton, N.Y.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Burke. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Jennings-Calvey Funeral Home Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit, with Mass at 10 in Our Lady of the Snows Church, to be celebrated by Monsignor James J.
