    EVERETT, [Bedford Co.] Pa. - Catherine Bussard, 87, of Clear Ridge Road,
    died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. Born
    May 4, 1913, in East Providence Township, [Bedford Co.] Pa., she was
    the daughter of the late John A. and Annie Hanks Garland. She was
    preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Bussard, in 1972. They
    were married Aug. 16, 1933. She had been employed by the former Lion
    Manufacturing Co. in Everett. She was a member of Everett Church
    of God. She is survived by six children, Vera Helman of Waynesboro,
    Pa., Earl W. Bussard of St. Thomas, Pa., Percy J. Bussard of Lisbon,
    Ohio, Mary Jane Dicken of Everett, and Elsie M. Carbaugh and Maxine
    Phillips, both of Chambersburg, Pa.; two brothers, Jesse Garland of
    St. Thomas and John T. Garland of Shippensburg, Pa.; 23 grandchildren;
    40 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two
    step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother,
    Franklin Garland; a half-sister, Martha Stailey; four half-brothers,
    Watson Hanks, Albert Garland, James Garland and Ross Garland; a grandson;
    and three great-grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at
    Everett Church of God. The Revs. William Kisner and Russell Hoffman
    will officiate. Burial will be in Union Memorial Cemetery. Visitation
    will be Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main
    Street, Everett; and Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church."
