    formerly of St. Thomas, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at the home.
    Born in Rays Cove, Bedford County, June 21, 1915, she was the daughter
    of the late James and Eva (Gordon) Pepple.  She was a housewife.
    She was the widow of Franklin G. Garland, whom she married December
    9, 1936. He preceded her in death June 4, 1995.  She was a former
    member of Rays Cove Christian Church, Breezewood.  Surviving are sons:
    Paul J., Richard G. and Robert J. Garland, all of St. Thomas; nine
    grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five
    step-great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded
    in death by a daughter, Louise Mills; a sister, Marjorie Garland; four
    brothers: Walter, Shannon, Hershel and Jonny Pepple and two infant
    brothers.  Funeral services were held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home
    Inc., Harrisonville, at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 4. Rev. M.W. Nesselrod
    officiated. Burial was made in Rays Cove Christian Cemetery, Breezewood.
