    Ruth E. Skiles Claar, 86, McConnellsburg, died Friday, November 4, 2005,
    at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown.  Born December 4,
    1918, in Andover, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David N. Sipes
    and Ella Hoop Skiles.  She was preceded in death by her first husband,
    Frank M. Skiles.  She retired from Stanley Co., Chambersburg, in 1979.
    She was a member of Rockhill Mennonite Church in McConnellsburg.
    Surviving are her husband, Francis G. Claar, whom she married May 5, 1994;
    a daughter, Alice M. Kahn, Needmore; four sons: Robert J., Frank D.,
    Dwight M. and Fred B. Skiles, all of McConnellsburg; 27 grandchildren;
    great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; a
    niece and two nephews Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 8,
    at 1:00 p.m. at Evangel Assembly of God, McConnellsburg. Pastors Sam
    Sollenberger and Bill McCommons officiated. Burial was made in Union
    Cemetery.  Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, was in charge
    of arrangements.
