Church, American Legion and the fire company, all of McConnellsburg, and the BPOE No. 600, Chambersburg. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary F. Akers, a daughter Mrs. Sara Garman, of Camp Hill, a son, Robert Akers of York, two brothers, James C, of Miami, Fla., and Merle of Johnstown, and five grandchildren. Funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Kelso funeral hme in charge of Rev. Benimin Davis and Rev. Chas. Zealand. Burial was made a Union cemetery.
