Cooper, 78, Redfield, died Sunday in McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Gladys Peterson was born April 13, 1906, in Spink County. She married Charles A. Cooper Sept. 25. 1930, in Doland. They farmed southeast of Doland for 50 years. They moved into Redfield in August of 1982. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Her husband died in December of 1983. Survivors include a son, Donald, Hartford; four daughters: Mrs. Pat Darger, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Ruth Gardner and Charlotte Tracy, both of St. Paul; and Mrs. Deanne Underwood, Ottawa, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Alice Goodridge, Anderson, Calif.; Mrs. Vera Rog-genthein, San Leandro, Calif.; and Mrs. Effie Wood, Grass Valley, Calif. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Doland Methodist Church. Burial will begin in Doland Cemetery. A prayer service will begin at 8 tonight in Thelen Funeral Home, Redfield.
