PEORIA HEIGHTS -- Ruth Elizabeth Miller, 73, of 1002 E. Sciota Ave. died
at 2:11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 1996, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Born Aug. 13, 1923, in Elmira to Raymond and Clara Jackson Turnbull, she
married Bobbie E. Miller on July 30, 1950, in Elmira. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Tim of Peoria; one daughter, Linda Kay Ford
of Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; one brother, William O. Turnbull of Toulon;
three sisters, Marjorie Crouna of Kewanee, Mary Minton of Toulon and Janet
Lawrence of Fairview Heights; and two granddaughters.

She was a civilian employee of the Army Air Forces during World War II.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Davison-Fulton Western Chapel in
Peoria. The Rev. Patricia Carper will officiate. Visitation will be from
5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Peoria.

p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Born July 25, 1922, in Jacksonville to Edward and Louise Harris Miller,
he married Ruth Elizabeth Turnbull on July 30, 1950, in Elmira. She died
Dec. 6, 1996, in Peoria.

He also was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are one son, Tim of Peoria Heights; one daughter, Linda (and Ed)
Ford of Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; two granddaughters; and one sister, Helen
Doyle of Jacksonville.

He was an Army veteran.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in
Peoria. The Rev. Howard Love will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to
7 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
