transcription of Newspapers->Deaths->3.312.jpg From a newspaper dated 3 Dec 1958: BEGIN Body of Missing City Hunter Found The body of Paul D. Kishpaugh, 44, of 19 Meadow Street, Binghamton, was found about noon today in the area near Smithville Flats where he became lost yesterday while hunting deer. According to state troopers at the scene, death apparently came from natural causes. Mr. Kishpaugh became separated from a party of four with which he had been hunting about 3 p.m. yesterday. A search party made up of hunters, state police, Chenango County sheriff's deputies and other volunteers began combing the area late yesterday and continued until after midnight. The search was resumed at daybreak. Mrs. Kishpaugh, when called late yesterday by members of her husband's hunting party which included her nephew Ronald Pechenik, 20, of Johnson City, hurried to the area to assist in the search. The group had been hunting near the Maynard Pratt farm in Ridge Road between Smithville Flats and German. Mrs. Kishpaugh returned to the Pratt farm today when the search was resumed. An IBM employee for 16 years, Mr. Kishpaugh is a native of the German area where he lived on a farm for some time as a boy. He had hunted in the area many times and only last year assisted in a search for young Pichenik with whom he had been hunting, after the youth was lost for several hours. The Kishpaughs have two children, Alan, 10, and Michealene, 6. Mr. Kishpaugh was one of two hunters reported lost yesterday in Chenango County. Sheriff's deputies and volunteers spent several hours hunting for Dale Humble, 22, of Woods Road, Solway, only to learn he had been home in a restaurant in Greene all the time. Sheriff Frank J. Machio had ordered the search for Mr. Humble in the Lake Ludlow area near Oxford, after his hunting companion, Thomas Lauhr of Syracuse, reported he had failed to return to their car at nightfall. About 11:45 p. m. Richard Mitts, proprietor of the Chenango Valley Hotel of Greene, telephoned Sheriff Machio to report Mr. Humble had been at the restaurant since about 7:30. END
