Dutton of Owego, became the bride of Robert J. Kishpaugh in a double ring ceremony at the First Presbyterian Union Church here on April 17. Mr. Kishpaugh is the son of Paul Kishpaugh of Corning. Miss Elizabeth Knowlton of Owego was maid of honor and Miss Barbara Kishpaugh, of Binghamton, sister of the bride-groom, and Mrs. Harold Getzke of Owego were bridesmaids. Harold Getzke of Owego was best man and ushers were Orville Knowlton, brother of the bride and Hans Gradel, both of Owego. A reception for 100 guests was held in the church parlors immediately following the ceremony. After a short trip, the couple will reside at 20 Paige Street, Owego. Mr. Kishpaugh was born March 26, 1930 in Owego to the late Paul and Lorena (Lerche) Kishpaugh. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Vickie Harmon; and brother, Walter Kishpaugh. Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beatrice; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jerrie and Charles Hildebrand, Salem, Mass., Cheryl and Kenneth Jordan, Owego; son-in-law, Kermit Harmon; grandchildren, Jason and Julie Harmon, Horseheads, Erin Harmon, Owego, Wesley Hildebrand, Salem, Mass.; great-granddaughter, Anna Elizabeth; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Kishpaugh, Auburn, N.Y., Barbara and Richard Benjamin, Phoenix, Ariz.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Kishpaugh was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Town of Owego Highway Dept. in 1991. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #1371 and Susquehanna Hose Co. #1 and was a member of the Central New York Fireman's Assoc. His pride and joy was maintaining Owego Fire Co.'s 1866 Amoskeag Steamer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Estey & Monroe Funeral Home with Rev. David C. Seaver, Chaplain of Spiritual Care for Lourdes Hospital, officiating. Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
