Kishbaugh Formerly owned service station in Bloom Melvin R. Kishbaugh, 82, of 82 S. Main St., Shickshinny, died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon, April 11, 1996, at the Berwick Retirement Village Nursing Home, Berwick, where he had lived since Feb. 21. He had been in failing health for several years. Born Aug. 26, 1913, in Salem Township, he was a son of the late Fred and Laura Seely Kishbaugh. He attended schools in Salem Township. He was a resident of Shickshinny for 48 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Kishbaugh had been employed by several area car dealers as a mechanic, including the former Bill Johnson Chevrolet and Cadillac and the former Brown Chevrolet-Cadillac Inc., both of Berwick. He retired in 1979 from Brown. He also owned and operated Kishbaugh's Service Station, Route 11, Bloomsburg, in the early 1970s. He was a member of the Sylvania Masonic Lodge 354, Shickshinny, and the Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg. Surviving are his wife, the former Lorraine E. Johnson, with whom he celebrated a 48th wedding anniversary on Feb. 21; two sons: Melvin H. Kishbaugh, Berwick, and Kerry R. Kishbaugh, Bloomsburg R.R.5; four grandchildren and two great-grandsons; and a sister, Mrs. Harry (Daisy) Ulshafer, Berwick R.R3. A brother, Henry J, Kishbaugh, died July 30, 1979. Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethany United Methodist Church, Summerhill Avenue and Pine Street, Berwick, with the Rev. Daniel L. Dennis, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kelchner-McMichael Funeral Home, 119-121 E. Third St., Berwick. END
