D. 1, died at noon yesterday at the Berwick Hospital where he had been a patient for eight weeks and confined to his bed for that period of time. He was in ill health for the past two years. Undergoing an operation last week, Mr. Kishbaugh was on the road to recovery but suffered a relapse this morning. He was a member of Moore's EUB Church, the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen since 1906. He was employed as a conductor on the Lehigh Valley Railroad for 47 years retiring five years ago. Mr. Kishbaugh resided in this section for 36 years and was born in West Hazleton. He is survived by his wife, the former Susie Botticher, [sic] and the following children: Samuel L. Kishbaugh, seventy-seven, Berwick R.D. 1, died at the Berwick Hospital yesterday morning at 11:50 where she had been a patient for two days. She had been in ill health for the past week. She was born in Hazleton, daughter of the late Charles and Della Andreas Boettiger. She resided in Hazleton and New York City before moving to the Berwick area fifty years ago. Her husband, the late Samuel Kishbaugh, died fourteen years ago. She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church of Berwick. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Arzella Kishbaugh, at home; Mrs. George Seely, and Mrs. Edna Kishbaugh, Berwick; four sons, Samuel and Marvin, Berwick, and twins, Elwood, of Kinnelon, N.J., and Ellsworth, North Halledon, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Elwood Troell, Freeland, and Mrs. Gertrude Atherholt, Berwick; a half brother, Charles Booth, West Hazleton; twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at ten-thirty from the Kelchner Funeral Home, Berwick, with Rev. R. Kenneth Heim, pastor of Bethany United Methodist Church, officiating. Kishbaugh Retired from Berwick Knitting Mills in 1984 Funeral services for Edna A. (Kishbaugh) Kishbaugh, of 9 First Lane, Berwick, will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Kelchner-McMichael Funeral Home Inc., 119-121 E. Third St., Berwick, with her pastor, the Rev. Dorothy H. Straub, officiating. Burial will be in the Beach Grove Cemetery, Salem Township. Kishbaugh, 79, died at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001, in the emergency room of the Berwick Hospital Center, after being stricken ill at her home. Born Nov. 26, 1921, in Salem Township, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Lloyd Kishbaugh, who died Aug. 12, 1955, and Susie M. (Bottieger) Kishbaugh, who died Nov. 17, 1969. A lifelong resident of the Berwick area, she was educated in the former one-room school at Moore's Hill. In her earlier years, Kishbaugh worked at the former Amil Manufacturing Co., Shickshinny, and later was employed by Berwick Knitting Mills, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Stone United Methodist Church. Kishbaugh especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her husband, William C. Kishbaugh Sr., died July 25, 1966, and a son, William C. Kishbaugh Jr., died March 6, 1993. Six siblings also died previously: Adeline M. Seely, on Nov. 25, 1961; Arzella Mae Kishbaugh, on Nov. 8, 1986; Samuel L. Kishbaugh, on Oct. 19, 1975; Ellsworth F. "French" Kishbaugh, on Dec. 28, 1988; Harold R. "Pete" Kishbaugh, on Oct. 28, 1967; and George Alvester Kishbaugh, on Feb. 23, 1921, in childhood. She is survived by five children: Charles E. Kishbaugh, Shickshinny; Henry A. Kishbaugh, Toronto, Ohio; and Robert H. "Bob" Kishbaugh, Mrs. John (Sharon) Spurga Sr and Mrs. Richard (Susan) Banks, all of Berwick. She is also survived by her companion of 11 years, Clark Seely, Shickshinny, 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Elwood "Dutch" Kishbaugh, Kinnelon, N.J.; and Marvin Kishbaugh, Berwick. END Press Enterprise; Bloomsburg PA; 2007-4-20 BEGIN Marvin Lewis Kishbaugh, 75, of Salem Township, Berwick, ended his journey in this life at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in Berwick Retirement Village I. He had been in failing health over four years. Marvin was born in Berwick on Nov. 29, 1931, a son of the late Samuel and Susan Boetlicher Kishbaugh. He attended the former Hill School, rural Berwick. Mr. Kishbaugh served with the National Guard, the Army and during the Korean War, he served with the Air Force. In 1992, he retired from Dana Corp. In his early years, he farmed local land and also enjoyed woodworking. Preceding him in death were brothers: infant, George; Harold; twins, Ellsworth and Samuel Kishbaugh; sisters; Edna Kishbaugh; Arzella Kishbaugh; and Adeline Seely. He will be remembered by his wife, the former Carole O'Dell; daughter, Marcia Belles and husband, Steven, grandson, Jarod, Berwick; son, Daniel Kishbaugh, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Manda Mowery, and husband, Craig, Salem Township, Berwick; brother, Ellwood Kishbaugh and wife, Betty, Berwick; sister-in-law, Mary Kishbaugh, Berwick and 24 nieces and nephews.
