Daily, 68, of 709 E. 10th St., Berwick, a retired dispatcher for Wise foods, died at 4:26 a.m. Tuesday in the Berwick Hospital Center, where he had been a patient for 19 days. He was ill for 11 years. Born in Slocum Township, July 19, 1919, he was a son of the late Ruy [sic] and Martha Smith Daily. He lived in Sunbury for a few years and spent most of his life in Berwick. He served in the U.S. Army from 1940-1945. Mr. Daily was employed as a dispatcher for Wise Foods of Berwick for 10 years, retiring in 1977 due to ill health. He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Berwick, served as an elder and was former superintendent of the Sunday school. Surviving are his wife, the former Sharleen Kishbaugh with whom he celebrated a 40th anniversary on Nov. 22; a son, C. Scott Daily, Muncy; two grandchildren; and two sisters; Mrs. Nicholas (Anna) Keller, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Mrs. Ronald (Lana) Williams, Mountaintop. Three brothers, Robert, Bruce and Warren Daily, died previously. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from First United Church of Christ, Second and Vine streets, Berwick, with the Rev. Russell D. Mengel, his pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Wayne A. Lutz, retired from United Church of Christ, Bloomsburg. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Market Street, Berwick. Arrangements are under the direction of Mayo Funeral Home, Berwick. END
