Joy J. Creasy Schlieder
A 'Joy' to all who knew her
Joy J. Creasy Schlieder, resident of Bloomsburg Health Care Center, died
Saturday morning, March 19, 2011.  Born March 26, 1922, in Orangeville,
she was a daughter of the late Hurley and Bertha (Sult) Kishbaugh of Espy.
A graduate of Scott High School, Espy, in 1939, she lived most of her life in
Catawissa. She was employed by the Regal Shirt Factory and the Emenee Shirt
Factory in Catawissa, and worked as a floor lady.  Preceding her in death
were two husbands: Ernest Lester Creasy who died in 1973; and Orton Blake
Schlieder in 1993. Also preceding her were a brother, William Kishbaugh, of
Catawissa; three sisters: Mrs. Oscar (Ethel) Smith of Catawissa; Mrs. Edward
(Dawn) Girton of Bloomsburg; Mrs. Monroe (Doris) Daniels of Catawissa; and
a son-in-law, James R. Fisher, Bloomsburg.  Surviving are three children:
William D. Creasy and his wife, Martha, of Bloomsburg; Sharyn J. Fisher
of Bloomsburg; Lynne E. Miller, wife of Richard J. Miller, of Numidia;
two step-daughters: Linda Boyer of Bloomsburg; and Norma Whitaker of
Binghampton, N.Y.; five grandchildren: Mrs. Todd (Terri) Fritz, Ortanna;
Mrs. James (Heidi) Roth, West Melbourne, Fla.; Mrs. Christopher (Tina Lynne)
Howell, Bloomsburg; Jared Miller (Tara Barr), Harrisburg; Paul Creasy,
Bloomsburg; seven great-grandchildren: Allison Fritz; Zachary Fritz;
Danielle Roth; Christopher Roth; Anthony Roth; Alexus Howell; Jack Howell;
four step-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.  She is also
survived by one sister, an identical twin, June Hawk Fetterman of Catawissa.
At the request of the deceased, services will be private and there will be
no viewing. Burial will be in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.  In lieu of
flowers, the family has requested that remembrances in her name be sent
to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 67, Numidia, PA 17858
or Columbia Montour Home Health & Hospice, 410 Glenn Ave., Suite 200,
Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
