Stimeling Grasley Former secretary loved dogs and gardening Jeanne A. Stimeling Grasley, 79, of 313 Summerhill Ave., Berwick, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born May 29, 1923, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy Sr. and Lillian Kishbaugh Stimeling. Mrs. Grasley was a 1941 honors graduate of Berwick High School, graduating seventh in her class. Following high school, she worked as a secretary for AC&F and later for Wise Potato Chip plant, Berwick, retiring in 1987. A lover of dogs, she especially enjoyed gardening. Four siblings died previously: LeRoy Stimeling Jr., Robert B. "Bob" Stimeling, Fred Stimeling, and Judy Mae Stimeling, in infancy. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Howard L. Grasley, to whom she was married Jan. 5, 1952; a son, William Grasley, Berwick; a daughter, Diane Grasley, Albany, N.Y.; a granddaughter; and two sisters: Barbara Eckroth and Mary Ellen Yorty, both of Berwick. Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick, with the Rev. Donald Heacock officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kelchner McMichael Funeral Home Inc., 119-121 E. Third St., Berwick. END
