Funeral services Monday for Bloomsburg woman
  Mildred Lewella Hummel, 88, of 330 W. Third St., Bloomsburg, died 8:40
p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
  Born in Berwick, April 12, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Bruce
Emma Mae (Kishbaugh) Lanning.
  A 13-year resident of Bloomsburg Mrs. Hummel was formerly of Berwick.
  She was employed as a clerk with the former J.J. Newberry store and was
a member of Shiloh Bible Church, Almedia.
  Her husband, Alton Hummel, preceded her in death in 1983, as did a daughter,
Linda Creveling, in 1970, and a sister, Marie Heller, in 1998.
  She is survived by two children, the Rev. Larry B. Hummel, Brooksville,
Fla.; and a daughter, Greta M. Gresh, Winder; six granchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Heller Funeral Home,
Nescopeck, with her pastor, the Rev. Douglas Lyon, officiating.  Burial in
Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick.
