McAvoy, 93, of 159 Front St., died Tuesday, March 24, 1987, at 2:20 p.m. at River Mede Manor. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Helen McAvoy, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and James Linehan, Boca Raton, Fla., 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Theresa Coffey, Evelyn Buteux, Margaret Nurmi, and Elizabeth Noonan, all of Binghamton; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McAvoy was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Walter D. Sullivan & Son Funeral Hone Inc., 45 Oak St., Binghamton, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Assumption Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
