She was predeceased by her daughter, Geraldine Pajerek in November, 1983. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gerald; a daughter, Genevieve Slodki, of Binghamton; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ella Kernan, of Johnson City, Dennis and Arlene Kernan of Quakertown, PA.; eleven granchildren, Marie, Linda, Kathy, Shawn, Patrick, Greg, Mark, Mike, Donna, Deborah and Wayne; several great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Alice White, of Hancock, Rita Mowry and her husband, Robert of Virginia, Eleanor LaVarnway, of Calif.; as well as many special friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Church of Kirkwood for over 50 years and a member of the Altar - Rosary Society. Born in Hancock, N.Y., the daughter of the late Andrew and Minnie White, she moved to Binghamton in 1930. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home Inc., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton followed at 10 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Kirkwood. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 2 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Mary's Church of Kirkwood or the Hospice Program at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. After mass the entire family usually goes to a nearby diner for breakfast. This year Grandpa was just not well enough to attend.
