James Stanley Maxwell of Hartford, Ct.
  James Stanley Maxwell, 82, 401 Franklin Ave., Hartford, Ct., formerly of
Meshoppen, Pa., died at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Hartford, Ct., Saturday, May 4,
1991, at 1:30 a.m., after a prolonged illness.  He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Margaret P. Maxwell, Hartford, Ct.; three sons and daughters-in-law,
James and Leona Maxwell, Tannersville, Pa., Joseph and Linda Maxwell, Berlin,
Ct., Paul Maxwell, Hartford, Ct.; seven grandchildren; three sisters,
Mrs. Dorothy Place, Endicott, Mary and Frank Hackett, Vestal, Ruth and
Paul Choquette, Quincey, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Vincent Riley, Endicott;
several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was a member of St. Augustus Church
in Hartford, Ct., and a retired employee of the Connecticut National Bank.
  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Allen Memorial
Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30
a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, Endicott.  Burial will be in St. Bonaventure
Cemetery, Auburn, Pa., with a graveside committal scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday, 2 to 4,
and evening 7 to 9, with a Vigil Service Tuesday afternoon.
