James Stanley Maxwell, 82, 401 Franklin Ave., Hartford, Ct., formerly of Meshoppen, Pa., died at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Hartford, Ct., Saturday, May 4, 1991, at 1:30 a.m., after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret P. Maxwell, Hartford, Ct.; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Leona Maxwell, Tannersville, Pa., Joseph and Linda Maxwell, Berlin, Ct., Paul Maxwell, Hartford, Ct.; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Place, Endicott, Mary and Frank Hackett, Vestal, Ruth and Paul Choquette, Quincey, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Vincent Riley, Endicott; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of St. Augustus Church in Hartford, Ct., and a retired employee of the Connecticut National Bank. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, Endicott. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Auburn, Pa., with a graveside committal scheduled for 11:30 a.m. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday, 2 to 4, and evening 7 to 9, with a Vigil Service Tuesday afternoon.
