Place, Dorothy E.
Dorothy E. Place, 101, of Endicott, went to be with her Lord from Wilson
Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 1, 2014. She was predeceased by
her husband Arthur, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Joan Place,
son-in-law James Rollo and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by
one daughter, Shirley C. Rollo, Endicott; seven grandchildren, James and
Adriana, Reverend Kevin and Amy, Paul and Christina, Valerie, Roxanne and
Larry, Danielle and Stephan, Kelli and Norm; several great-grandchildren
and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Choquette, Quincy, MA;
many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a member of St. Ambrose Church,
Endicott and a retired employee of General Electric, Endicott-Johnson and
I.B.M. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. from the Allen
Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott followed by a Funeral
Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery,
Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home
on Monday from 4-7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Dorothy's memory may be
